Mr. NÉSTOR RAÚL CHARRUPI HERNÁNDEZ, is a lawyer from the Externado de Colombia University where he has been a professor in the area of ​​private law since 2003. He completed postgraduate studies in private law (Responsibility and Compensable Damage) at the same University (2005- 2006), in National and International Arbitration at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (2009) and in Introduction to the Legal and Juridical System of the United States of North America, an approach to Anglo-American Law, at Yale University USA (2012), He is currently a candidate for a Law PhD at the Externado de Colombia University.

He has dedicated himself to the study and advice of issues related to civil and commercial law, providing comprehensive legal and business advice on matters of creation, merger, transformation and liquidation of companies, structuring of public and private contracting processes, international sale of merchandise, structuring of projects for investment banking, leasing, factoring, commercial financing, as well as the development of different international atypical contracting schemes.

He has written several articles and essays in the field of private law, among which the following stand out: Damage in the digital environment. A new category of non-pecuniary damage (2003); Protection of personality rights in new information technologies (2005); Comments on the Video Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004 of the United States Congress (2005); Protection of the right to honor in the current information society (2006); The evolution of the succession regime in Colombian law. Regarding Law 1934 of 2018 (2020); and Evolution Under The Colombian Political Constitution Of The Surviving Spouse Right To Inherit, From The ‘Spouse Portion’ To The ‘Marital Portion’, Veering Towards A New Approach (2022)

He is currently a researcher at the Private Law Research Group of the Externado de Colombia University, carrying out various research projects and professor of private law at the Externado de Colombia University, he is a lawyer, advisor and litigator in matters of private law, intellectual property and administrative law. He directs the litigation department of the law firm of which he is a partner, advising on cases of unfair competition, restrictive competition practices, consumer law, contractual disputes, property and family law.

She obtained her first law degree in an academic program based on the civil law or codified system in Colombia, at the Externado University of Colombia and a postgraduate degree in the United States of America─ Master of Laws ─ in a school based on the preceding system or common law, THE GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY LAW SCHOOL, Washington, D.C., pursuing an LLM-Government Procurement Law (May 2009), and has earned significant honors such as the Fulbright Scholarship and the Thomas Buergenthal Scholarship.

Has experience in the international cooperation sector with financing from the United States Agency for Development USAID, in programs executed by Florida International University FIU, International Republican Institute IRI and has worked in the international administrative law sector in international non-governmental organizations and courts of international public organizations.
